Holly Frisch founded Volunteers for the Blind out of personal necessity. Born blind, she navigated education and employment with the assistance of volunteer readers. Relocating to Fredericksburg meant she was to far north yet too far south to receive help from larger agencies. After several unsuccessful attempts to find local assistance, Holly decided to start her own nonprofit to make up for such disparity. VFB works hard to equip it’s interns and beneficiaries with the tools they need to reach their goals. Visit their website for more information.
